There’s “Trouble” brewing in the super welterweight division!
Samuel Castellanos is quickly making his presence felt in the super welterweight division, improving to 4–0 after a second-round TKO victory at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, where his opponent’s corner was forced to stop the fight. The Hollister, California native has carried that momentum since signing with Golden Boy Promotions in March 2025, positioning himself as a rising prospect with both power and skill.
Castellanos built his foundation through an outstanding amateur career, capturing 13 national titles across multiple competitions. His resume includes three National Silver Gloves championships, two Junior Golden Gloves titles, three Oxnard PAL victories, three Desert Showdown titles, and the WBC National Amateur title – highlighting his consistency and technical ability.
Training out of Hollister Boxing Academy, Castellanos has further sharpened his craft by sparring with elite fighters such as Jaron “Boots” Ennis, Devin Haney, Keyshawn Davis and Andy Cruz, gaining valuable experience against top-level competition.
With a strong amateur pedigree, high-level preparation and the backing of a major promoter, Castellanos continues to build momentum as one of the division’s fighters to watch.
