Jose “Tito” Sanchez rose to the occasion and embodied what it means to be a true fighter!
On the David Benavidez vs. Gilberto Ramirez PPV card, Sanchez delivered a breakout performance built on pressure, grit and aggression, earning a TKO victory over San Diego’s Jorge Chavez at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After a competitive opening where Chavez used his ring IQ and movement to stay a step ahead, Sanchez began to take control in the middle rounds by consistently landing and forcing exchanges. He continued to apply pressure and close the distance until he ultimately overwhelmed Chavez late, securing a technical knockout in the tenth round just before the final bell.
Prior to that, Sanchez returned to the ring in January, scoring a sixth-round knockout of seasoned Mexican veteran Jesus Eduardo Ramirez Rubio at Thunder Studios in Long Beach. The win marked a successful comeback after an inactive stretch since October 2024, and reaffirmed his power and finishing ability as he continues building momentum in the super bantamweight division.
Training under the guidance of the Diaz Brothers in Indio, Sanchez has steadily developed into a dangerous contender with an unbeaten 16-0 record, including 10 knockouts. Known for his sharp power, confidence and commanding presence in the ring, he’s a serious threat in the super bantamweight division.
