Alexis Rocha returns to the spotlight!
The highly anticipated return of the Santa Ana native came when he faced former IBF world champ and 2012 Olympian, Joseph Diaz Jr at the Honda Center March 14. Rocha displayed his skills and dominated the fight, but it was a back and forth, action-packed fight between two of Southern California’s warriors. With this victory, Rocha improves to 26-2-1 (16 KO’s).
The matchup marks Rocha’s first fight since a majority draw against Raul Curiel in December 2024. Known for his relentless style and resilience, Rocha has consistently delivered some of the most exciting fights in the welterweight division.
He recaptured the NABO Welterweight title with a July 2024 win over Santiago Dominguez, rebounding from a 2023 knockout loss to Giovani Santillan. Prior to that, Rocha first captured the NABO title in 2022 with a win over Luis Alberto Veron and had a successful run, defending the title three times.
Rocha launched his professional career with Golden Boy in 2016, scoring a knockout in his debut against Jordan Rosario, following an outstanding amateur career that included six national championships and becoming the youngest fighter ever to win Junior Olympics gold at age 14 in 2012.
Now, Rocha continues to climb the welterweight ranks, combining determination and a reputation for delivering thrilling fights.
