Victor “El Tornado” Morales Jr., a rising star from Vancouver, WA and fighting out of Portland, OR, has been making a name for himself in the boxing world. With an impressive 118-12 amateur record, Morales Jr. honed his skills and built a solid foundation before turning professional in 2016. His talent didn’t go unnoticed, and in August 2019, he signed with Golden Boy Promotions, taking a big step toward his goal of becoming a world champion.
He was most recently seen on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, where he took on former world champion Rene Alvarado in an intense, fan-friendly fight. After ten rounds of nonstop action, Morales came up short against the veteran and tasted defeat for the first time in his professional career. This loss won’t define him, though – Morales is treating it as a lesson and is already focused on coming back stronger next time.
