At just 19 years old, Jordan Fuentes has already built a reputation as one of the most decorated amateurs and he’s bringing that pedigree to the professional ranks. Born and raised in Fresno, CA, Fuentes was introduced to boxing at the age of eight by his father, Joey Fuentes. His natural talent and relentless drive quickly set him apart, and by 13, he had claimed his first national title.

Over the course of a standout ten-year amateur career, Fuentes captured seven national titles, four state championships and a long list of regional honors. Beyond the accolades, his journey has been deeply personal. After the tragic loss of his sister, Jolissa Fuentes, Jordan made a promise to honor her memory by becoming a world champion. Since her passing, he has shown remarkable resilience, suffering only one defeat to Cornellio Phipps in 2023 before bouncing back stronger than ever. That following December, Fuentes cemented his elite amateur status by winning the Paris Olympic Trials, defeating amateur standout Steven Navarro in the finals. That victory marked the perfect sendoff to an amateur chapter that had already exceeded expectations.

Now signed to Golden Boy Promotions, Fuentes made his professional debut in August 2024, on the high-profile Serhii Bohachuk vs. Vergil Ortiz Jr. card in Las Vegas. He hasn’t slowed down since, adding five more wins to his record. His most recent victory was in front of a home crowd at Save Mart Arena in Fresno where he secured a unanimous decision victory, improving to 6-0 (2 KO’s).

With powerful motivation and elite skill, Fuentes is poised to rise through the ranks and fulfill his promise, both to himself and to the sister he continues to fight for.
