With an impressive amateur pedigree that includes two Junior Olympic gold medals, a Silver Gloves Championship, a Ringside World Championship and the 2017 USA Boxing Youth National title, David Stevens quickly established himself as one of the country’s brightest talents. Raised in foster homes, Stevens developed a fierce sense of independence and resilience – qualities that lead him to boxing, where he channels his energy into something positive.
Inspired by the legendary Mike Tyson, Stevens hones a power-punching style and built a reputation for his knockout ability, with 10 of his 15 wins coming by way of knockout. While his pro career is filled with highlight-reel victories, he has also faced tough challenges. His only two losses come against high-level opponents, including a fan-friendly, competitive bout in November 2024 against Bektemir Melikuziev, where he fell short by split decision.
In June 2025, Stevens returned to the win column with an impressive victory over previously unbeaten Russian Olympian, Petr “The Surgeon” Khamukov (13-1, 6 KOs), in the main event at Thunder Studios in Long Beach. The bout showcased a clash of styles that tested both fighters’ patience and adaptability, with Stevens emerging as the sharper, more composed fighter.
Steven’s latest outing came against Golden Boy stablemate Darius Fulghum at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on November 8, serving as the co-feature to Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Erickson Lubin. The two went the full ten rounds, ending the bout in a majority draw.
As he continues to grow and evolve, David “Dynamite” Stevens remains a dangerous presence in the super middleweight division, armed with passion, power and the potential to make major waves in the boxing world.
